Crowdynews Wins Prestigious Bully Award for the Third Consecutive Year
Company Honoured as one of the Top European Rising Stars
GRONINGEN, Netherlands – 21 October 2014 – Crowdynews, the leading social media curation platform, today announced it was named a Longhorn winner for the 2014 Bully Award honouring Europe’s rising stars in the technology community. The Bully Awards are presented by White Bull Summits, champions of the European innovation ecosystem.
Now in its fifth year, White Bull and a panel of renowned industry analysts, journalists, academics, and experts combed the technology innovation landscape across Europe in search of Europe’s bright tech stars that have demonstrated excellence in innovation, leadership, and growth potential. A total of 60 European companies were named as finalists for the 2014 Bully Award, selected from a pool of over 500 entries from the Telecommunications and Media (TMT) sector.
The winners fall into three categories:
- Yearlings: firms that seek or have received angel/seed rounds or equivalent; classic start-ups
- Young Bulls: firms that seek or have received Series A financing; early stage companies
- Longhorns: post Series A firms; growth stage companies
“Crowdynews has already received both the Yearling and the Young Bull awards at previous White Bull events,” said Jeroen Zanen, CEO of Crowdynews. “We are thrilled that with the Longhorn award this year, we have won in all three categories. Our social media curation products have allowed us to expand globally since our first appearance at White Bull two years ago, and being recognized for our aggressive growth is a real honour.”
“The Bully Award winning startup firms were selected for excellence in leadership, innovation, and growth potential,” said Farley Duvall, co-founder of White Bull Summits. “The chosen firms have been recognized for bright business propositions and meaningful market strategies. We’re happy to have Crowdynews as a winner in all three Bully Award categories, which demonstrates that our belief in their business strategy was well-founded given their continued acceleration in the market since we first met them two years ago.”
White Bull has a successful track record in identifying Europe’s leading TMT companies, with over 75% of finalists receiving significant funding, expansion, or moving on to exit.
