Crowdynews Voted Favorite SPROCKIT Start-up at NAB Show

So far, it has been an extraordinarily busy week at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. With over 100,000 attendees, there are many exhibits to see and meetings to attend. As a 2016 SPROCKIT start-up, Crowdynews is featured in the SPROCKIT hub at this years’ NAB Show and was voted favorite start-up! Along with 19 other start-ups, Crowdynews was able to give a 5-minute presentation to the audience from the SPROCKIT hub stage, be a part of a panel discussion, and meet with SPROCKIT partners. All-in-all, a very busy 4 days.

Crowdynews Helps Media Companies Stay Relevant and Keep Readers Engaged: 5-minute Presentation

Allyson Barr, VP of Marketing, gave a 5-minute company pitch early Monday afternoon followed by 10 minutes of Q&A. The presentation highlighted how Crowdynews helps media companies stay relevant and keep readers engaged on their digital sites. Featured in the presentation was Beasley Broadcasting Group and how they use Crowdynews to deliver breaking news to their audiences.

Voted Favorite SPROCKIT Start-up

At the conclusion of each 5-minute presentation, audience members were asked to vote for their favorite SPROCKIT start-up. It was all-hands-on-deck voting for Crowdynews & all employees worldwide. Results were presented at the VIP Reception and Awards on Tuesday, April 19, 4:30-6pm PDT in the SPROCKIT Hub. And the winner is CROWDYNEWS!

Keeping Ahead of Changing Media Consumption Patterns: Panel Discussion

Crowdynews also participated in a 50-minute panel discussion ‘Keeping Ahead of Changing Media Consumption Patterns’ on Monday. Our fearless Co-CEO, Jeroen Zanen, sat on the panel and discussed topics such as how broadcasters use social media to keep people on their sites, best practices or tools available to help broadcasters increase reach, engagement, and traffic using social media, and how broadcasters use social media to support their work across multiple platforms.

Already, we can say that partnering with SPROCKIT is the right decision. They’ve worked with us every step of the way helping Crowdynews to put our best foot forward as we prepared for the show as well as enhancing our NAB Show experience.
